This boy is known only as Pup. Pep’s parents took Pup in as a child and raised him as one of their own. He insists he’s a tough street dog but is playfully mocked as he grew up as wealthy as Pep and has a spot around his eye that looks like a monocle. His barks are a little meowish but he’s tough as nails.
Meet Pep. Pep (Pepper) grew up in a privileged household but left all of that wealth behind to strike out on her own. She fought tooth and claw to get into this industry, but it’s worth it to realise her dream of selling quality products to all her friends. Pep’s home is now something of a sanctuary for other animals who didn’t fit in where they grew up.
Birdie is a canary with an equally unimaginative name. She constantly tries to get people to call her Star, but it’s not happening. She dreams of being called Star as she spent most of the 80’s and 90’s in a coal mine and didn’t see the sky until she was in her mid-thirties. Birdie manages import/export at Pep and Pup.
Roger is an arrogant fish. A high school swimming champion, he peaked at an early age and has had a little bit of small-fish-in-a-big-pond syndrome ever since. He tries to throw his weight around but it’s easy to avoid him as he’s confined to an aquarium. He has a good heart deep down in that cold, scaly chest. Roger handles security for Pep and Pup.
Ernie is the tortoise who defeated the hare in a foot race. However, life as a major proverb star isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Ernie had some problems with fame and has retired to a slow and steady life behind the scenes. He’s reticent about his past but once you get him out of his…comfort zone, he’ll tell you a story or two. He handles the accounts at Pep and Pup.
Alfonse is a mouse. Since Pep rescued him from a gang of feral street cats, possibly hopped up on nip, Alfonse has become fiercely loyal to her. Alfonse would jump in front of an eagle for Pep. He currently manages the warehouse at Pep & Pup but needs assistance to drive a forklift.
