The social event of the year for dogs (and their humans)  is coming to Vancouver this Sunday, August 28th, and you won’t want to miss it! Whether you’re a Yaletown poodle, a Kits corgi, or a Mount Pleasant wiener, you won’t want to miss this!

Vancouver Summer Event in Yaletown

This is guaranteed to be the dog event of the summer, and it’s happening this Sunday, August 28, in Yaletown, Vancouver. Pet-a-Palooza, the largest West Coast outdoor pet festival, will feature a 120-foot pool party in the middle of the city, a drive-through treat window, and puppy yoga.

What is the fastest dog breed?

Pep & Pup is excited to be reporting live on location, and it’s going to be a barking good time! We can’t wait to see who will win the dog races. Will it be the English bulldogs, French bulls, wieners, or corgis? Our own pups may even want to join in on all the excitement.

Downward dog with your dog

For all the chill dogs, 30-minute puppy-friendly yoga classes will be held throughout the day from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm with 25 seats each. You can see how your downward dog compares with the experts.

Every dog has its day: Blessing of the Dog

As a celebration of our canine friends, Pet-A-Palooza brings a Nepalese tradition to the event. Dog blessings are a deeply-rooted custom, believed to trust the connection between people and dogs.

At Day Of The Dog, dogs are blessed with a Tika – a red mark applied to their forehead, to celebrate our love and connection to our pets.

Where is Pet-A-Palooza?

Pet-a-Palooza will be held at 1100 Mainland Street on August 28, between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. It is free entry and open to everyone. See you all there!
